EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — The El Paso Police Department released an incident report Friday regarding the 5-year-old who suffered a dog attack on Halloween night and was subsequently taken to University Medical Center.
According to the report, the attack occurred while the victim was trick-or-treating with their mother.
At around 8 p.m., the child and their mother approached a home on Jadestone Street in northeast El Paso.
When the homeowner opened the door, their three pit bulls ran out and attacked the child.
It took both the homeowner and the child's mother to pry the dogs off the child.
El Paso Animal Services previously told KFOX14 that there were two dogs and two victims.
The mother told police that she was unsure which dog bit her child, however, all three are current on their rabies vaccinations and were under quarantine orders following the attack.
University Medical Center told KFOX14 Wednesday that the child was in stable condition.
Meanwhile, the dogs' owner has been cited for unconfinement.
